Opendao is a decentralized digital community built to level the playing ground between  NFT creators and collectors, and it also aims to assist upcoming artists and NFT communities.

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) operate through the joint contributions of their members, having no single or central authority. Opendao also will achieve its aim through the combined effort of the community to build $SOS, its native token, which is designed to serve the purpose of governance. In addition, the community aims to empower the token to become a significant asset in the metaverse and Web 3.0 ecosystem.

Further, to achieve their principal aim, which is to help fill the gap between NFT collectors and creators, they aim to build core infrastructure for developing a non-fungible token ecosystem. Finally, they also intend to bridge the gap between existing digital assets and the metaverse.

When was OpenDAO Launched

OpenDAO launched its native token, $SOS, and shared it as an airdrop to users on OpenSea in December 2021. Even though they used the popular NFT marketplace to share their token, they are not affiliated with the platform. However, The major contributor to OpenDAO is an anonymous crypto enthusiast known as 9×9×9.eth on Twitter.
