Fairfax flags softer pricing at Brit as 2026 Q2 combined ratio improves to 93.1%
Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited reported 2026 second-quarter net earnings attributable to shareholders of US$1.39 billion, slightly below a year earlier. Its property and casualty insurance and reinsurance combined ratio improved to 93.1%, even as pricing came under pressure in the UK market. Premium growth slowed across the group, with net premiums written up 2.4% to US$7.34 billion.
