U.S. Listed Bitcoin Miners' Daily Output Drops to 30-40 BTC During January Winter Storms
Listed Bitcoin mining companies in the U.S. saw daily production fall sharply to around 30 to 40 bitcoins during January winter storms, down from a typical 70 to 90 bitcoins in preceding weeks, CryptoQuant data show. CryptoQuant research head Julio Moreno disclosed the figures on Feb. 2, cited by Cointelegraph. The storms swept across much of the U.S. mainland, forcing miners to scale back operations under power grid pressure, heavy snow, ice and extreme cold.
