Lufthansa Q2 core profit drops nearly 56% to 383 million euros as jet fuel costs rise
Lufthansa reported a sharp decline in second-quarter earnings, with core profit falling nearly 56% year on year to 383 million euros as jet fuel costs climbed. Revenue rose 10% to 11.1 billion euros for the three months to the end of June, while higher fuel prices lifted costs by about 750 million euros. The group also revised its 2026 core profit outlook to 1.7–2.2 billion euros, after previously saying it would be “significantly” above 2023’s 1.96 billion euros.
