US asset manager REX Shares has launched the GIF ETF, which packages nine single-stock Growth & Income strategies tied to names including Coinbase and MicroStrategy into one income-focused fund trading on Cboe. The ETF targets about 1.25x exposure to each underlying stock while generating weekly distributions from covered call option premiums.

Hut 8 reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $279.7 million on Dec. 31, reversing income of $152.2 million a year earlier, while quarterly revenue climbed to $88.5 million. Compute revenue rose to $81.9 million over the same period, and the miner agreed to a 15-year, $7 billion AI data center lease backed by Google as it shifts deeper into high-performance computing. The company ended the year with about $1.4 billion in cash and Bitcoin reserves and access to up to $400 million in revolving credit.

Coinbase has rolled out stock and ETF trading for all US users, letting them buy and sell thousands of securities alongside crypto in a single app. The new service features commission-free trades, fractional shares and instant funding with USD or USDC, and runs 24 hours a day, five days a week.

US mortgage lender Rate introduced RateFi, a nationwide program that lets qualified borrowers count verified cryptocurrency holdings toward mortgage reserve requirements without selling them. The product runs within the lender's non-qualified mortgage framework, applies AML/KYC checks, and still requires cash conversion for down payments or closing costs.

ProShares launched the GENIUS Money Market ETF under ticker IQMM, investing solely in short‑term U.S. Treasurys and designed to qualify as reserve assets for stablecoin issuers. The fund uses a floating NAV, intraday trading, and same‑day settlement, with prospectus notes that yields could be lower versus broader money market mandates.

Societe Generale's SG-FORGE has deployed its euro-denominated stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible, on the XRP Ledger, marking its third public blockchain, according to a Wednesday announcement. Ripple's custody support may enable future integration into Ripple products, and about 70.51 million tokens are currently in circulation. The asset is backed 1:1 by bank cash deposits or high-quality securities.

Strategy acquired 2,486 BTC between Feb. 9 and 16 for $168.4 million, lifting its holdings to 717,131 BTC and funding the buys via at-the-market share sales. Bitmine Immersion Technologies purchased 45,759 ETH, taking its total to 4,371,497 ETH, with 3,040,483 staked. The additions arrived as Bitcoin and Ether traded lower.

The Decibel Foundation said on Thursday it will introduce USDCBL, a protocol-native, dollar-denominated token issued via Bridge, ahead of the project's February mainnet for its Aptos-based perpetuals exchange. The stablecoin will act as collateral, with reserves in cash and short-term U.S. Treasurys whose yield remains within the protocol; the team also reported 650,000+ testnet accounts and over 1 million daily trades, figures not independently verified.

The Bank of England has set up a six-month Synchronisation Lab to test synchronized settlement of tokenized assets in British pounds using its next-generation RTGS core ledger, RT2. Starting in spring 2026, 18 firms from market infrastructure, banking, fintech and decentralized technology will explore delivery-versus-payment and payment-versus-payment use cases across tokenized securities, collateral, foreign exchange and digital money.
